Workshop Hydraulic Press Plans: 50, 60 and 100 Tons
The three shop press plans cover different jobs. The 50-ton hydraulic press plans describe a manual workshop press with a hand-crank winch and a hydraulic power unit, and come with a Nastran FEA report for the frame. The 60-ton heated platen press has upper and lower platens for pressing work that needs heat. The 100-ton hydraulic press plans are the heavy option for bending, straightening and bearing work, with the cylinder and locking pins modeled in full.
Hydraulic Press Drawings for Fabrication
The 2D packages contain dimensioned DWG and hydraulic press drawing PDF sets: frame weldments, cross-members, pin and plate details and the cylinder mounting. They are prepared for cutting, drilling and welding, so a fabrication shop can quote and build from them directly.
Hydraulic Press 3D Model in Inventor and STEP
Every project is built as a native Autodesk Inventor assembly, and the hydraulic press CAD model is also exported to STEP for Fusion 360, SolidWorks, FreeCAD and other systems. Use the 3D model to check the working height, the opening between the columns and the cylinder stroke, or to adapt the frame to the steel sections you can source locally.
Hydraulic Press Design Checked with FEA
The frame of a press carries the full cylinder force on every stroke, so the design of the hydraulic press frame matters more than any other part of the build. The 50-ton project includes a Nastran FEA report showing how the frame behaves under load, which is useful both as a check of this design and as a reference if you change the dimensions.
